I have downloaded the Eclipse java IDE. But I have to use it for j2ee. Is there any modifications, any attachemnts of jar files should be done to work with the IDE? Please can some one help me

I suggest to install the MyEclipse plugin,It's useful to develop J2EE applications.

Eclipse only provides a basic, yet awesome, Java development environment. To write J2EE applications, you need to download and install some eclipse plugins, many of which can be found at www.eclipse.org

Downloading and installing all of these can be a challenge, although the challenge is typically finding the ones you like best. MyEclipseIDE provides all of the basic plugins for about $35, or a professional version at $50. Depending upon how valuable your time is, you might want to get with myeclipseide.

myeclipse plugin is really good but its not free have a look at Eclipse WTp Project it provides support for J2EE and its free

Also check out Lomboz from the Objectweb Consortium. It's free, but Objectweb is backed by Groupe Bull, INRIA, France Telecom, etc.

Their eclipse distribution is packaged based on different usage requirements like j2se or j2ee development.
