include HTML in a page

Howdy folks,
Is there a means to include HTML from a seperate
file into an existing HTML page? In JSP you can use the <jsp:include page="page.html"> tag, but I haven't yet found how to do the same in a static HTML page.
Any help would be appreciated.

What web server are you using? In Apache, it's pretty easy to enable Server-Side Includes (SSI).

look into iframe (inline frame).....

Although an inline frame will allow you to create a "sub-page", it will be more like including the sub-page in a textarea than the <jsp:include> behavior you mentioned.
There is no standard HTML mechanism to perform an include; hence the SSI capabilities in Apache. I'm sure other web servers have similar mechanisms.

Okay guys. Thanks for the help. We are using Apache, but I didn't think of using SSI. I will give this a shot.
