javascript and certificates

Greetings all, I'm looking for resources that have examples of javascript integrating with certificate stores in browsers. I'm specifically looking for an example of how to install a new root cert and listing installed root certs.

I believe Netscape had some good examples but I can't seem to find them.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
