IMO, this was a good decision. They wanted to make Pakistan bat the same day...the minute Yuvraj got out they declared!! What's wrong with that? They didn't want to send a new guy in and take another 5 overs off...till Sachin makes his 200 Just bcos its 1st innings you can't keep batting the whole of the 2nd day...675 was already a great score and a score they could win with...and that is what matters...not shaving off another 1/2 hour for one of our star batsmen to add another record to his stats...

I don't hate Sachin...and till before that interview I was under the impression that he sure doesn't play for personal records... But when he expressed his disappointment in the media...that just didn't gel well with his character (that I had previously associated with him) A great player would have said something like Hey, it wouldv'e been nice to make a 200, but it wasn't meant to be It just came as a rude shock to me when I read that interview. The team is doing well and one of the veterans expresses his disappointment over the team strategy!!! How would that go down with the young guys in the team??? Anyway, the greatness that I had associated with the little master is gone. He now is a good batsman for me. That's all
Sachin is great player to me. He shouldn't be bothered of people who dont consider him *great*. He has contributed a lot to Indian cricket and does not need any certificate.

Hey Pradeep I thought you were an indian fan, but looks like i am wrong, why else will u jump in joy when Indian wickets are falling.3 wkts down now, hope dravid and laxman put up another 300+ paternership today.
People were praising Dravid for his captainship and declaration. Will those same people please criticize him for his shocking decision to bat? I am mad at the decision to bat first.
