Responsibilities of Position:
PIBT seeks a developer with full-lifecycle application development skills for its Travelers.com quote/issue System. This system is part of a strategic program to remain competitive with the best of breed internet auto insurance quote & issue sites.
We seek an individual that is an experienced application developer to apply themselves and contribute to requirements analysis, design, build,
test, and deploy activities to significant development enhancements to the Travelers.com quote/issue System. This opportunity offers excellent opportunities for technical and leadership growth. We seek professionals with stable and consistent track records. This individual will be responsible for:
� working with business analysts to develop application requirements
� performing design and development of web applications
� following established standards using existing frameworks
� conducting unit testing
� researching defects discovered by QA and developing solutions
� completing multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
� establishing & maintaining effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work
� working in a team environment and sharing knowledge
All internal salary grades will be considered.
Grade level, position title, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate's skills and prior work experience, as determined by the hiring manager.
Experience Required:
� 2-4 years of experience with Java, J2EE, HTML, JSP, Servlet, EJB, JDBC, JMS, XML, RAD6, Websphere, SQL and Stored Procedures,
Ant � Experience with full-lifecycle development including highly structured test phases is desired
� Knowledge of software development methodologies and their application is desired
� Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be a proven contributor in a team environment.
� Ability to develop and present technical concepts to a business audience is a major plus.
� Knowledge of property/casualty insurance is a MUST and personal lines insurance products or general property casualty insurance experience is a plus, willing to train
