Pathfinder Associates is looking for an experienced and passionate Java Developer to join our application development team. This position will collaborate with business analysts, interaction designers, and other developers to build innovative web applications.

We could go into a lot of requirements for this position, but ultimately what we're looking for can be boiled down into one sentence: We're looking for radically strong developers who want to stretch in new directions, who can speak and write as well as they email and IM, and who play well with others.

That being said, we do need to state a few requirements, such as
  • 2+ years J2EE application development
  • 5+ years Web application development
  • 1+ years Agile development methodology
  • 2+ years XML, XSL, SOAP, WSDL, Web Services
  • Knowledge of:
    • Spring, Hibernate, Jboss, JMS, Lucene, JUnit, log4j and related technologies
    • Web development tools and technologies, including HTML and DHTML, Javascript, CSS
    • Relational database design. Open Source such as MySQL, PostgreSQL a plus
    • OO modeling tools, such as Rational Rose, Enterprise Architect or ArgoUML, along with OOAD experience, UML, Patterns
    • Experience working with both Linux & Windows platforms

    • Why Work for Pathfinder?
At Pathfinder we believe that since you spend one-third of your life at work, you may as well enjoy it. We strive to provide stimulating work for our employees, in atmosphere that's friendly, challenging and supportive. Because we're a smaller firm, we're able to notice, recognize and reward exceptional achievement. Perks of working at Pathfinder include medical and dental insurance, tax-free transit benefit, and casual dress code. The biggest perk, however, is the recognition that you have a life outside the office.

      The Fine Print
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. We regret that we cannot pay for relocation expenses or act as an immigration sponsor at this time. Please, no phone calls.
