Jim,

In a previous post you referenced the Freebase Browser URL. When I went to that site, it contained a Java WebStart link for that application.

Is WebStart required for JavaFX? What is the relationship, if any, between the two? If WebStart is not required, how is the JavaFX code delivered to the client? Forgive me but I'm still grasping with the fundamentals of this technology.

JavaFX programs can be deployed via Java Web Start or as applets in a browser. For the latter, see my Creating Compiled JavaFX Script Applets - Method Two post.

JavaFX Script programs execute in a JVM on the user's machine.
