You are a software engineer with a passion for open source communities and philosophies who wants to bring that collaborative spirit to work. As the Platform Engineer at our Pasadena, CA location, your primary mission will be to design and implement high-performance, highly accessible distributed storage and processing platforms able to handle billions of transactions per day. An essential part of this position will be your strong programming skills in C++, Java, or PHP, which will allow you to write tools to provide open and flexible access to data. Your strong communication and organizational skills will be invaluable as you work with engineering and product teams across multiple countries to meet deliverables. Most importantly, your hands-on experience with high volume transaction processing systems and large-scale network programming will equip you to develop the infrastructure for our open platforms. If you are a software engineer who desires a role that combines your passion for open source technologies and your problem-solving skills to tackle technical challenges in the areas of distributed computing and enterprise integration, then this is the opportunity for you!
