I am developing WAP apps on wireless devices, using XSLT to translate XMLs into WMLs. What is not lucky is that different devices accept only its favourite encoding scheme. What I am doing now is to do a encoding/decoding operation on the wmls that i have AFTER from tanslating with XSLT. You know this is not the best solution, I am wondering if it is possible to give an encoding scheme to XSLT in order to have a right encoded translation.

Could you describe the way you're executing the XSL transformation?
Are you using javax.xml.transform.* or a command-line tool, for example?
