I have an element that has a large number of numeric string enumerations. However I would like to place into that element an annotation describing details for each of the numeric strings.

My question is: Can the values I place under <xsd:annotation><xsd:appinfo> be accessed by a program that has the schema xsd file so that it can be used as additional user interface information, and if it can how is that done from the program?

Thanks for any help you can give me on this.
