Hi all,
Does this book discuss security at a server level ? Im a part of the support team of a Weblogic server where several different applications developed by different teams are deployed. I would like to have deeper knowledge on security in order to be able to assure that the applications deployed on this servers are as secure as they can be despite of how much actual application developers took care of security issues when they developed whe application.
Do you believe this book would help me ?
thx

Hi Giselle,
The book does exactly that. It covers J2EE and J2SE security with particular focus on the server side.
Thanks for your interest,

Sounds good, thx.
Also, Do you feel any of the servers around ( Websphere, Weblogic, Oracle App Server ... ) implement security better ? Specially the part that comes "automatically" implemented ?

Are there any studies on various existing application server?
Or the book focus on the declarative security on the server-side?
Nick
