Hi All,
I cleared scpj 2 with 94% .
I want to thank everyone who participates in this discussion forum as the discussions really helped me a lot.JavaRanch is really good and it helped me quite a lot.
Well! Frankly I was quite surprised with the exam.It was very easy ,I had expected more difficult questions. So if you are thorough with java language concepts it wont be hard to clear the exam.I got lots of questions on Threads and needed quite a bit of thinking with the flow ,synchronized blocks ,monitors etc.
AWT and collections ques were minimal and very easy questions. So were the i/o ques.Again I got lots of questions on flow controls, what will be the output of a certain for ,while ,switch blocks.Didnt get any short answer type ques.
I was really surprised that one of the question didnt have any correct answers and it was asked to mark 2 right answers.
I just left it without answering ,but didnt get credit for it .
I dont know what we should do for such situations.Anyone any ideas??? Probably I should write to SUN 'bout it.
The thing which helped me the most was the JQplus mock exams.
I questions are really good and lots of the quetions are similar to the actual exam.
Also Veena's notes helped me in my last minute preparation.Except for a few incorrect stuff, its good.
Thats it from me .All the best to all you guys preparing for SCPJ

thanks everyone ,
If u follow the following link u can get Veena's notes .Even the JQ+ notes are good ,but veena's are better(dont see there rating :-) http://www.jdiscuss.com/index.jsp?tab=scjp(click study notes from the left panel)
You can get a list of mock exam sites from http://www.tipsmart.com/studytools/certlinks.htm
And no I corrected a hard copy of veena's notes ,didnt correct the soft copy(its in PDF form)
But if anyone wants Ican tell ,what all are the mistakes. But I think its better that you guys find it out.It will a test for urself to know how clear ur concepta are ,isnt it :-)
ciao
