I just passed the Java 1.2 Programmer exam with a 98% average. (I took the 1.2 version, since it has a better mix of topics for a new Java programmer (ie. Gui/Events/IO)).
Thanks for the Mock exams Dan.
Just a note to those who are planning to pass this exam without much Java experience : it will likely take you MUCH longer than some of the comments I have seen in the JavaRanch forums (ie. "I studied for the test for 2 weeks, part time while looking after my three kids, and doing my regular job, and still got 100%."). I strongly suspect people that can pass the exam with such little preparation are VERY experienced Java programmers. If you are inexperienced in Java, give yourself 4 months minimum. Also if you are NOT an experienced software engineer, DON'T start out with the Mughal/Rasmussen book (I suggest Roberts/Heller/Ernest or some other book that is easier to understand).
Thanks to all of you have contributed to this website. It is a treasure trove of information.
