You rock !!
Congrats !
We hope that you'll stick around the ranch, even though you're all certified and stuff
Your posts are wonderful (giddee up)... did I hear a rumor that you reside in the antipodes?

i reckon i will check in to the java cert forum anyway just to see if i can help out with answering questions too.
hey Bert - when you helped me out with the whole idea of G.C., well, that seemed to help me with a few different things about Java - instance variables, reference types, and of course G.C. understanding that little session really broke through a few barriers for me. thanks. and of course to you and Kathy for writing the book!
i am thinking about making an electronic recording - "Music to study Java by".
so now i am hoping that a friend can get me a position over in ireland - just depends on when the company can get enough work to justify hiring a graduate (or near-graduate). once the world situation settles down i think the economic climate will get better.

Ireland is a beautiful country. I once worked for a semiconductor equipment company that frequently sent people to the Seagate facility in Springtown near Derry. (Yes, I realize that Derry is in Northern Ireland.) Everyone that traveled there loved it. I know I did.

awesome... everything i hear about ireland is that it is beautiful, rather cold a lot (which i dont mind even actually like it), some really interesting areas of inner-old-city Galway... a big change to the east coast of australia. although beautiful with these cool black sulphur crested cockatoos outside, good surf and cruisy atmpsphere...i just want to 'escape paradise' and sink my coding claws into some real-life coding action! sooner rather than later i hope.
anyway, is all good. have started studying both a unit of java and a unit of vb.net and a unit of oracle at the uni course, which i am sure is going to be an somewhat intense mix of learning topics!
yes, Reason is so cool. and 2.5 (free to registered owners of 2.0) is looking totally powerful and all-that.

yes, music to study Java by ... could have meditational references, aswell as all the cyber you want....a sample of a robot voice saying "Begin Uplink Immiediately", "Commencing alpha brain activity one". ... mixed with flute, muted doubletime electronic percussion over an electronic dub track, with occasional subsonic bass drum just going doong .............. doongdoong....., not too repetetively... a girl i know singing soothing high melodies then turning into a a happy sort of club-trance mix, later moving on to a trip-hop style thing.
ah, ideas!
edit/ actually am working on the visuals to complement the music...here are some rough ideas...
