Hi all,
I cleared SCJP 1.4 with 82% on 15-04-04. Got first 9 questions from threads and all are difficult ones. I was sure about only 2 out of 9. Only 1 question where I had to type text .
Though not a very good score, but feeling great that i have cleared it finally as I cudnt devote much time for preparation.
Some tips:
1. I prepared for 1 month (2-3 hrs daily on average)and do not have any JAVA background.
2. Used 'Schildt' and 'Simon Roberts, Philip Heller, and Michael Ernest' as reference books.
2. Mock tests: (i)Dan's tests (not for evaluation but for understanding
(ii)Marcus's 3 test (I was scored 70% on average in these tests. quite close to my final score)
(iii)Majji's test-good one.
(iv) Pradeep's 2 tests- easy ones but good.
Practiced a few more but dont remember now.
4. Write as many mocks as possible.
5. Keep on looking on the discussion forums. I used forums only to look at the avg scores of ppl. and their tips.
Thanks to all the Ranchers.
