I passed Web Services 's exam with 73% ( 51/69).
I'm happy with the score even though it is low ( I thought of failing ). Anyway, as some ranchers says, a Pass is a Pass.
I've read some ranchers ' posts they said the
test wasn't tough, in my opinion the exam is definetely HARD. Mine was.
My prep was:
- One month of study, about 5-6 hours a day
- Studied RMH with Mikalai 's Notes
- Read Blueprints
- Read SCDJWS Forum Posts
- I learned of JAXB in WS Tutorial
- Heavily used Mikalai 's Quiz (they were my Salvation). I found 6-7 questions similiar to those of Mikalai.
- Read quickly, skipping many parts, other books ( WS in a Nutshell, WS Architetture, WS Security, W3C Recommendations)
Some tips:
- I found about 5-6 questions on Basic Profile 's rules ( read carefully that unreadable Document)
- About 7-8 questions on Security ( NOT about SAML/XACML/XKSP/WS-Security xml syntax)
- Many questions on Apis. They weren't so easy . Of SAX they wanted to know what is an EntityResolver.
I found a question about Holders ( what are they ?). A question about ServiceBinding 's methods.
I studied only the fundamental interfaces.
- A few questions about the differences between
EJB and Service Endpoints
- A few questions about Inquiry and Publishing Apis
- A question about the corret syntax and content( minutes or seconds ?, the first right) of <session-timeout> element
- What are the taxonomies a JAXR Provider must provvide ? ( NAICS, UNSPSC, ISO)
- What faultcodes does
Soap 1.1 defines ? (Client, Server, MustUnderstand, VersionMismatch)
- What information does Soap Header entries can carry ?
- SuperInterface of SOAPBody ? ( org.w3c.dom.Node)
- What part of Soap Message can be other than XML ? ( Attachement Part)
- Correct Namespace declarations ?
- What must have a J2EE Application Server ?
- Only a question about
Patterns Hope this helps
