On my blog, you'll find my SCDJWS Specifications-Objectives Matrix:
http://radio.javaranch.com/channel/val/pages/SCDJWS_spec_matrix.html?printable=true

(which is also listed on the SCDJWS Links page by the way)

The Osborne.com site indicates that this book would be published on 31/12/2005. That has been delayed a couple of times since I visit the book's web page at the beginning of this year. Also the author have been changed to Jerome Josephraj Prasad Kukkamalla. Although Habibi's name still appears at the author biograhpy section.

Without a book dedicated to the SCWSD exam, I don't have the courage to take it.

How about taking IBM Test 288 (Websphere Web Services) first ? The first part of the ibm red book is good for web services foundation.

IBM 288 is a good test, as it covers only the basic knowledge in Web Services, SCDJWS covers much more than IBM 288.
