Hi
I am a complete newbie to the world of web-services. I have a background of Servlets, JSP, EJB and JPA, but none of web-services, not even of XML(except basic XML stuff). I tried on my own to start with web-services but got lost in the maze of documents and books, all of which seem to be inter-related in some way or were too theoritical to bore me off to death.

It would be really helpful if somebody could spell out a plan which could be followed to get started with web-services, considering my background. Any good books which cover web-services in entirety is also appreciated.

Thanks

Dear,

I recommend you to start with Monson-Haefel book, the first chapters introduces you in the WS world, and this book will link the topics with the technologies you already know.
Its a hard task to do, because this book is huge, however nobody said it'll be easy.

Regards,

Rodrigo.
