Given an application which requires a lot of database calls, which of JDBC or EJB would be faster, and how to choose one technology over the other?

Hi Rahul,
See chossing technology depends on many factors few of them are like
01) How much money you want to invest ..?reason for EJB you may have to buy license EJB containers or we have free also avaiables(like JBOSS),but that depends on the budget totally.
02) R u looking for services like instance pooling,transaction management,security..etc
03) Your own expertise/technical skill set.
As far between EJB/JDBC,it all depends on that full application scenerio and rememeber when you are dealing/working with EJB, make sure perfomance should not be suffered,as EJB calls are expensive in performance.
