I'm downloading on a 56K modem, and smaller is better. It's about $500 for a copy. I'm using MagicDraw. I'm not a hundered percent happy with the way the drawing looks. Few have heard of it.
Rational's product is the darling of the big IT shops. I suspect it's about 100K to get going in their process. Learning to use it may be considerable effort too. It will look good on your CV.
The other big player is together TogetherSoft.
People around here have crabbed about both Together and Rational.

Poseidon is certainly worth a look. The Community Edition is free.

I tried the free edition of the commercial product in the poseidon line of products. A few months ago I thought it was not far enough along in the development process,

I found Poseidon for UML ( Community edition which is free ) sufficient for this assignment. Its free and has good documentation to get started with.
