This is the only one book available in the market for SCWCD 1.4 preparation now...

I believe only that book is enough to get SCWCD 1.4...

But does all this "Exam preparation" books prepare you just only for the tricks you should be expecting on the exams or actually LEARNS you whats it all about?

It covers both purposes, passing the exam and learn the things.

It must be the only resource that you need to master SCWCD 1.4.

Have anyone of you then successfully passed SCWCD using this book only? : )

Well, I guess you have but what were your experiences then? Did you feel that any of the objectives could be better covered? Did you use any other means to pass the cert? Well, maybe some example exams of course.

I would be interesting to hear your experiences before I rush and buy this book.

Hi Jonny,

I just passed the SCWCD 1.4 this afternoon (GMT+8) in Singapore. My book arrived from Amazon on last Friday. So I had about a week to make full use of it. I won't say I'd fully digested the book, but it helped in my final lap of preparation & is instrumental to be passing with a respectable score of 85%.

I'm not treating it as a mere exam book, I think it does help a lot in laying a good foundation for me in building web app as well as practical work situation.

HTH.

Thank you for your reply! Its very valuable to hear about your experiences! And well, 85% should at least be enough as I understand : )

Regards
Jonny

Hi everybody.
Great thanks for your replies.
I'm really thinkin about buyin this book but you know its quite problem in here in central europe (Slovakia more concrete )

But I dont quite have enough $ to buy separate books just to help me get through the exams so I willing to REALLY LEARN things.

Thx again

Well, my totally unbiased view

We wrote the book to be for someone who wants to learn servlets and JSP and get a really solid foundation in those technologies.

It is also a book you can use to study for the certification, but we helped in creating the certification objectives and the certification exam, and we believe the certification stuff represents a good overlap with what you need to be solid in servlets anyway... it's a win-win
