Hi Friends,

Thanks to everyone of you Ranchers, for your support and active participation. I cleared the exam with 94% .
Special thanks
to Kathy, Bates and Basham for their wonderful book,
to Mikalai Zaikin for his wonderful compilation of the specs,
to Deshmukh and Malavia for their thought provoking book .

I had prepared roughly for a month,
read HFSJ thrice,
read the quizzlets and exercise questions form Deshmukh's book(really enjoyed them)
and revised the spec compilation by Mikalai , twice .
I had also used Tomcat 5.0 to workout a few concepts .

Apart fromt this I got 79% in HFSJ Final Mock Exam (Questions are too good)

I felt the exam was relatively(comparerd to SCBCD ) a bit hard and thorough understanding of the concepts and their usage is being tested .
My special wishes to everyone who are preparing for SCWCD . ALL THE BEST .
and just a small piece of what I want to convey
" Please do the hard work and the results will be as expected "

Thanks and Regards,
Rufus

Hi Sowrabha,

The SCWCD links http://www.javaranch.com/scwcdlinks.jsp has all links for free mock exams .
I feel the mock exams are more to find out which topics we are weak at.
The real exam focusses more on how clearly we have understood the concepts .

Hope this helps .

Thanks and Regards,
Rufus

Hi! Johny

CONGRATS!!!

Please let me know where to get all Design Patterns asked in scwcd1.4 exams. HFSJ has not all patterns which are described for scwcd1.4 exams.

Hi,
Thanks .
HFSJ covers the patterns that are required and specified in the SCWCD 1.4 exam objectives. But if you need to get a detailed hand at most of the patterns you can refer to http://java.sun.com/blueprints/corej2eepatterns/Patterns/

Thanks and Regards,
Rufus

Raja, "dump" is a term used to described cheating. If you intend on cheating on the test, then we have no interest in having you as a member of JavaRanch.

Raja, I've sent you an e-mail and a private message about this and your other posts. Your e-mail address appears to be invalid. You can check your private messages here and you can change your e-mail address here. If you continue asking for "dumps" your account will be disabled.

Besides, for your opinion which exam is more difficult SCBCD or SCWCD?

Hi Vladimir ,

I felt SCWCD more difficult than SCBCD .
The number of questions are more , eventhough the time allocated is also more, the time some of the questions consume is also more .

Thanks and Regards,
Rufus

CONGRATS Rufus,

94% is really a gud score and it seems that you have scrored it with just a months preparation.

I even remember you posts regarding the SCBCD and SCJP scores.

You are very consistent in scoring a 90+ in all of these.

ALL THE BEST for your IBM certification.

Balaji.

Johny, are you sure about number of qestions? I look at http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/CX-310-081.xml and see that number of questions: 69 for SCWCD. But for SCBCD number of questions - 70. Almost equal...

You would be much easier to understand if you took that bucket off of your head. And that goes for the tiny ad too!
