Hi,
I just read in Mikalai Zaikin's notes that we need to know for the exam.

Is that correct ? I hope not.
First time I see these !!

To be honest with you, I've not learnt a great deal about these as well......but yeah, you do have to know about these....How come you never came across none of these? I presume you're following HFSJ...check the answer to Q. 9 on page 613

I do not have the book with me right now. Too heavy, I left it at home, so that is why I am asking.
Thanks !

Is there any place ELSE in the HFSJ book where the <resource-ref> tag is discussed other than in question 9 at the end of Chapter 11? I looked all through Ch11 and other places in the book. If not, then there is no way, by reading the book alone, that the reader could answer the question correctly.

Unless anyone objects, I am going to submit a minor errata on this to O'REILLY.
Thanks.

NO

HFSJ uses the 80-20 approach, it tell you the 80 part, and the 20 part, you need to take pain and read ( in fact just SKIM ) the specs. This is what i call as the 'specy' nature of the exam. My advice is, even if you look into the spec areas, which the book points to, its enough. No need to dig and read the complete spec end - end !

Dont do it. I object. Its not a errata. ITs just your frustration that's making you think like that since you didnt see that thing in the text associated with that chapter.

OK, Thanks. You are right. Now I see the part at the beginning of the book way back on p. xxvii on the last sentence of the third paragraph. I guess this means that Mock Exam questions about material not mentioned in the book anywhere else is fair game.
