hii all members.first of all thank to all members especially Ulf Dittmer and Cameron McKenzie for your timely reply.based on the information i gathered i came accross some doubts.it will be greatfull of you if you could solve these doubts.
1)which is good java books available in india especiallty in mumbai which teach java from scratch?
2)i have heard abt Khalid Mughal's book available in market is it good book for scja?
3)if anybody want to purchase Cameron McKenzie's book which website should i visit?
what is name of that book? what is cost of that book?
4)how can anybody make payment for purchasing that book?what are the neceesary steps one has to undergo for purchsing these book
5)is there any good book designed specially for scja availble in indian market especiallty in mumbai?

Ans 1: "Java: How to program" by Deittel is one of the finest book on Java available in India. The explanation is excellent and easy to understand.

Ans 2:Khalid Mughal's book would come second to Deittel's for me. You have to evaluate yourself for your decision.

Ans 3: I have purchased Cameron McKenzie's books. I am in Bangalore. The Author personally helped me to get the books reach me in time here. He is a very helpful gentleman.

Ans 4: You can buy them on Amazon and pay through your credit card. Cameron has his own link inside Amazon, look for PlupJava publishing, in Amazon.com

Ans 5: Frankly I have not come across any book that can be said as specific book for SCJA. It is only Cameron's book. To support your read for the SCJA exam supplement it with books on UML, Servlets and EJBs, if you wish. Otherwise I have read that Cameron's book is more that enough to clear the exam.
