SMS send hangs when phone has no or low call credit

Hi guys,

when I try to send an SMS message and the call credit on the mobile phone is below the required amount the WMAPI for sending SMS hangs the phone. Is there a way to ensure their is enoug credit before sending SMS or is there an exception handlin system for such error?
