I'd like to use JAI on my Java machine, and I'm told that if I can get
the jai-core.jar and jai-codec.jar files I'll be able to do this
(although without the speed advantages of any native code). However
I've been unable to get these files since they are only available in
self extracting executable form for windows and solaris. I'd
appreciate it if someone could either email me these files (if they're
not too big) or tell me where I can get them off the net in some form
that I can deal with on a windows machine..

I don't see how this question is related to JSP...

I'm moving it to the forum "Other Java APIs".

If you need JAI to be installed on a windows machine, why can't you use the Windows self-extracting executable? You don't just need the JAR files for your program - the JAI JAR files have to be installed as an extension - they have to go in specific directories of the JVM you're using - this is why it's packaged as a self-extracting executable...

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
