Hi,
Does anyone know how to create a File object from a URL or to create a file object from a BufferedInputStream. Without writing the file to the machine and then reading it back again.
e.g.
URL url = new URL("http://www.mysite.com");
File f = new File(url); //but this doesn't work
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I'm puzzled about your description. You want to create a File object and don't want to write to it. What does that mean??? Then why do you need the File object??
