In the above mails 'd' is not getting printed,
I am talking about
"Log Tag library" which I want to use in my JSP.
When I am using any of the things like debug or fatal in the jsp, it is running well, but I am not getting where the out put is getting printed

As stated in the documentation, you'll have to understand how log4j works before using these tags.
Go to log4j's homepage for more information (basically, you'll need a log4j.properties)

About the 'd' not being correctly displayed, check the 'Disable smilies in this post' checkbox at the bottom of your new post.

I kept log4j.properties in the WEB-INF and required TLDS in the same folder.
I also placed the required jar files in the lib directory.
The JSP is running fine but I am not getting where it is printing the message.

Try to put log4j.properties and commons-logging.properties in WEB-INF/classes

log4j.properties is not configured properly then.
By the way, did you check your container's log output directory ?
(for Tomcat, it's under logs)

"Srirama Srirama",

There aren't many rules that you need to worry about here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!
