PageContext is for a particular jsp. so is it that the attributes in PageContext are restricted to a particular jsp. can't we access those attributes in another jsp?

page context is local to the jsppage so you can not access it in another page. but if you inlude another jsp page that means in a translated unit you can access it.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
