Hi all,
I am new to java/jsp/servlets
can any one pls tell me the differnce between authentication and authorization?

Authentication is determining someone's identity (usually by means of a user name/password). Login is a form of Authentication.
Authorization is determining whether or not you have permission to do something. An example is "are you authorized to use a web page?".
