Hi got an offer From TCS -Kolkata 3.8L. ( 2.8 Yrs of exp in Java -j2ee). My current was 2.8L. Whhether the offer is good. I am not having high academics and also not from wel known company?

can any body suggest....

although package is not so good

better join as they have good chance of Onsite ......and also is most secured company to work .........

this is as per my points .........

take advice from other ranchers toooooooooo

Well you are getting the Hike around 36% so that's good.

Package in Next company depends upon so many factors.

1. Your Current Salary (Upto Expectations for you)

2. Your technical Ability (as you mentioned you doesn't have high acadamics)
3. Your technical Skills. (??? )

So in that way I suggest you to join and go ahead.

Ask for atleast 4.5 , Accept offer between 4.2-4.3.

How was your technical interview BTW? I don't think academics will play vital rola at around 3 yrs. of experience, i guess.Although your earlier projects & knowledge related to the same will definitely does matter.

Join... usually big comapnies don't negotiate too much at junior level.... if you can get onsite Indian salary doesn't matter much

Hi friends thanks for the suggetions.

In fact TCS is also giving options now to change the domain. like they want people to switch to DataWarehousing or other tech. If i will get such options can you tell how it would be ..for the future career ?
