Hello all, I have a symbolic link (ln, ln -s) under a Unix OS. When I call isDirectory() on that symbolic link I do get "false" returned. Does anybody have an answer to that behaviour?
A symbolic link is not a directory. You can use a symbolic link to a file or device also. For a symbolic link the canonical path is the path to the linked file. Try this and see if your link returns true:
