Hi All

I am working in a Software firm as software engineer for the past 3.5 years.
Now I am planning to do MBA through distance education mode.
will the distance education MBA will provide any value addition
to my career?
At this point of my career, what will be the best option to concentrate on?
Technical side or MBA?
Kindly advice me.

All caveats apply:

In general, someone who can do more than one thing is of greater value to business. A dual discipline of Programming and MBA is very likely to be highly valued if you can find company that needs that much skills.

Here for a while in the United States it was common for someone not to be able to get a job because they were 'overqualified' - I have not heard that problem in ten or twenty years.

I knew someone who held an MBA .... to get a job it was personal contacts and human networking. There were many persons who held MBA degree but could not find work as an MBA, my friend got a job at (....) headquarters because a professor she had studied under knew someone at that company. Sending out thousands of resumes has rarely landed real work for many people.

I just caution not to do anything that disturbs your current work / life status / security.
