Max size of HTTP Posting

1) Is there a max limit for HTTP posting.
2) I want to know the maximum amount of data that can be posted from one page to another by using HTTP post method without affecting the performance and other problems of session time outs.

Secondly....
1) There is no real limit as long as you are talking about POSTing data as opposed to GET. GET has a 'safe limit' of around 255 characters. You can go over that but expect to get into trouble as you go over 1000 or 2000 characters. POST is theoretically unbounded, I have POSTed files of several megs in size, but there could possibly be configurable limits to prevent it being a hole for denial of service attacks.
2) Session timeouts are based on time and upload sizes, so if you have a small amount of data uploaded on a slow connection with a lot of processing, you may find the session times-out, whereas it might not time out with a large upload on a fast connection and no processing.
