JSON library

I have a servlet that needs to return JSON text through the http response. As I have seen and as others have stated, JSON is a very simple concept and doesn't take much to create. With that said, what is the best JSON api for java, or should I not worry about it and just write a small routine to handle it myself? I'm trying to take a List of Beans into JSON. I'm thinking I should probably just write it myself. I just wanted to know what you experts thought.

Don't write one yourself, it is a little tricky. I used Frank's version and it was as easy as you say.
