Hi all,
I have to learn JTA (Java Transaction API). To start with JTA, what are the online/books will be good, which also should have some examples on how it's working/implementing.. I have Sun's tutorial for JTA and I want other than this..

Whether for JTA, EJB knowledge is must..?

Java Transaction Processing should provide you with an indepth explanation of the JTA and its use in various areas under the Java EE arena.

It is not mandatory to know EJB to understand JTA. JTA can be used independently of EJB.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
