I read the Java Tutorial and am reading Core Java 2 volume 1 and 2 now. I intend to get certified. What certification books should I buy for programmer certification and what books should I buy for developer certification? Thanks, Prem

There are many books that help you to get certified...Few good ones that i would recommend are :
SCJP Exam Cram by Bill Brogden
The Complete JAVA 2 Certification Study Guide by Simon Roberts, Philip Heller and Michael Ernest

there is also this book which may be useful for getting certified.
Java 2 Exam Cram, Exam Cram Ser. by Brogdon, Bill
This small book is really a good book which has all the important points to know for the SCJP2 Exam in a concentrated form. I used this book as a supplement to R&H book.
ans also check this link which is very useful: www.javaranch.com/maha
