Hi,
is jdk1.4 a lot more unstable than previous releases (e.g., 1.3.1)?
I think so, but I want to hear it from someone else.
Regards,
Diego

JDK 1.4 adds more API than its previous version. I dunno on what basis u say that it is more unstable.
When java is used for UI it crashes anyway!

diego,
what makes you think 1.4 is unstable ? i think it runs pretty well.
i hope they fixed lots of 1.3 bugs in 1.4. but surely new bugs were introduced (also because lots of new classes were added to the standard API)

Check out the bug list at developer.java.sun.com. The top 25 are still, primarily, about 1.3 (and earlier). That may be because there are more production systems out there on 1.3 and previous, but it looks like 1.4 is doing OK.
