Everything compiles fine, but when I run it and enter in the full path name of the text file I get a java.lang.NullPointerException

I'll take a deeper peek at the code, but I have some meetings today so I may not get to it until tomorrow. Any other takers while I sit in a conference room?

By the way, it would be easier to track this thread if you posted replies rather than new topics as replies. That way we could scroll to view the code instead of having to have multiple windows open and switch between them.

Thanks!

All these posts seem too similar to be seperate threads. How's about we keep all discussion about your file from command line problem in one spot. This thread seems to be the most active for you, so let's keep discussion going there. I am closing this one.
