Based on the objectives I'd say he would pass.

Keep in mind that this is a 1.5 (er, 5.0) exam. So even if you're not being tested on a tiger-specific topic, there still might be tiger-specific stuff in the question. For example, the new for loop if very likely to show up in a question that's not intended to be testing your knowledge of the new for loop. The new for loop and the old for loop are equally "fair game" in any question. This applies to other new concepts as well...but the for loop is perhaps the most obvious example.
