Am In London since the last 6 months.Just love this place. Have been doing some Sight-Seeing around UK too in the weekends and am starting to feel home now. Nice people(most of em,Anyway), nice place But too soft on Immigration laws. Dunno why. my roots go back to Tirur Kerala, India.have only vacationed there though. Currently in singapore. places I have lived in include- Shillong,Pune,Bombay,Dehradun, Bangalore, Jamnagar, Pilani, Delhi. btw,Tintin, nice to know u've been in Shillong..you from a defence background too ?

At last I found someone on the JavaRanch whos from Shillong. No, I dont have a defence background exactly but it was something quite similar. So which school did u go in Shillong ?? Let me guess : KV Upper Shillong EAC OR KV Happy Valley ??

hi Tintin Actually i was born in Shillong. have been extremely curious to visit it as my parents say its a beautiful place. You are the first Indian I have come across apart from my family who has actually stayed there. I will be leaving shortly for my vacation to india and I was planning to go there with my parents. My sisters did their schooling in Shillong in a KV, but I don't remember the name. nice meeting you here! enjoy ur stay in london. cheers sajida

Hey Tintin, ya i love the city though i am not from delhi. my dad was in Air Force so have been to whole lot of places all over India. Now finally we have landed in Delhi.
Your parents are 100% Right. Its one of the most Beautiful places in India but due to its inaccessiblity not many people plan their Holidays there, though my friends there tell me slowly thats changing for the better. But U shud definitely go there once and see how beautiful it is. Not for nothing its called the Scotland of the East. Hows Sing ?? I might plan to come there for a Holiday this Christmas. Tintin

Hey Kirill I am In London and would love to visit Reading sometime this month. Any pointers abt some interesting places to visit ?? I've heard the Oracle Building is a MUST-SEE for its hugeness.
