bad news, i got an email regarding to my request for SCJP exam student discount that says;

The SAI exam voucher program is open to all students, faculty, and staff of educational institutions. Students who have graduated from an educational institution within the past six months are also eligible. In order to participate in the program, you must already be registered for the Sun Academic Initiative (SAI) program or your school needs to be an SAI partner for you to participate.
Unfortunately, Sample University is not an SAI member institution.
Due to Suns acquisition by Oracle, we are not accepting new enrollments in the SAI program.
As i understand ,that means i wont be able to get any discount.
Hi, Can anyone tell me after how many days is the voucher sent, once the documentation has been sent? I have sent my documentation 10 days back. On the website they have mentioned 3 business days. I need to take the date and give the exam ASAP. I sent them an email asking for an estimate, but didn't get a reply.
Kindly let me know if anyone has any info on this front.

Arter purchasing, I have sent them documentation on 8'th of February and the only answer I've got was:
Thank you for your Sun Academic Initiative exam voucher order.
We are currently experiencing high order volume and staffing shortages,
which has affected our order processing time. Orders are being processed in
the order received. If you have submitted your order, completed payment,
and provided us with the requested documentation, you will receive your exam
voucher as quickly as possible.

Am plannin to take SCWCD certification next month n i have not bought any voucher yet

I suggest you purchase the discount voucher A.S.A.P because I received a mail from Oracle in which they had written that please make your purchase before 30 March, after 30th March the vouchers would be available at a discount of 40% only....

Do you know, my friends, what will happen after closing SAI? I read about Oracle Academy, but they will not accept single registration from particular user. Only institutions will be accepted. What about that?
I don't have any information, except that on their website:
-As of January 27th 2010, we are no longer accepting registrations for new SAI members.
-Institutions are invited to join the Oracle Academy, which will expand to include Sun products in the next few months. Please check back for details.
-Students are invited to participate in the Oracle Academy through a member institution. (At present, the Oracle Academy does not accept registrations from individual students.)

Certification Vouchers
All SAI members may purchase the $40 discount vouchers until March 31, 2010 at this link saic.educationservicesgroup.com/ and redeem the vouchers at Prometric testing centers through the expiration dates. The voucher instructions and expiration dates are sent via email when members purchase the vouchers.
After March 31, 2010, all SAI members may obtain 40% off discount vouchers by emailing: contact_sai@sun.com
* Students must provide full name, institution name and country.
* Faculty must provide institution name, country and the desired number of vouchers.
Access to Sun Learning Connection
You will be able to access the SAI Learning Connection SkillPort portal until December 31, 2010.
We are working to integrate Sun resources into the Oracle Academy program and will keep you informed of any changes so you can continue to access the resources and tools you need.

No. After March, it'll be 40% cheaper than the real price (than 300$) not 40$.

can i now purchase the student discounted SCJP Voucher ?
and is there a voucher expiration date also....
i.e if i buy the voucher in the comming week then i can give the exam in june?
