Also i want to know the difference between advanced java and core java in the layman's language. All i require is core java or core+advanced to sit for the scjp?

hi guys. I just want to confirm(something that might be thought to be silly actully). Does the exam allow you to go back to previous questions answered first of it like some simulators i've seen that once u'e passed a question you cannot go back to it?

Why wont they allow you to go back ?, it is not like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire game show where once you've done nothing could change.

Hi,

Please advise is 150 minutes time limit sufficient to give the exam?
I give some K & B mock test which requires more thinking and due to which I'm not able to complete test on time.

Thanks,
Dhruv

You can now take OCA JP 7 certification.

Please have look at scjp faq and Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer Preparation Article.

You can view authorized centre at oracle website.

If you have good preparation means time limit is sufficient.

Please have look scjp faq to get mock exam for your practice purpose.

not:ı will absulately study scjp book(Kathy Sierra) but ı have no time now...it is necessary to find question close to real exam and ı should study from question pool because of time

Hi all,

Here, anyone who is new to these exams, I would like to advise you to take OCAJP SE 7 exam.
Oracle has made it compulsory now to take OCAJP(IZ0-803) before taking OCPJP(IZ0-804). Only then you are supposed to be called a Oracle Certified Java Professional.

Java 7 is the latest version of Java and the exam OCAJP covers syllabus upto exception handling only. Its quite an easy exam. I have gone through it and I found my Enthuware questions difficult than the real exam.

For starters, get any Java 7 book and start studying. After you are done get a set of mock exams. These prepare you well.

Hope this helps.
