Do you recommend this book: "Modern Software Development Using Java, 2/E - G. Michael Schneider Paul T. Tymann"?

Thanks

It looks like Amazon is selling the latest edition for 111 dollars. That's a heck of a lot of money for a software book and it makes me seriously question the business model and goals of the book.

Javaranch already has a section for book recommendations over at the Bunkhouse

If it were me, Id go with Head First Java because of the 9/10 & 10/10 rating and the 30 dollar price tag at Amazon.
