Netbeans is just a
IDE for building applications. The Hibernate API is part of an application, not the IDE. So, you shouldn't think that you "install" Hibernate in the IDE. This is not correct.
After you create a Project in NetBeans, you can go to the Project Properties screen and add the Hibernate API (library) to the Project.
