Can somebody here suggest me a camcorder for budget around $500?

I am having difficulty in picking a model, first I thought of buying Sony SR 40 30GB but the reviews are not that good. Now I'm like more inclined towards the model JVC Everio GZMG130 30GB HD. Ranchers please share your opinions.
Thanks.

Well the good thing is that compared to my MiniDV camcorder I have, which gets good picture quality, HD versions of today even get better picture quality. So I think any HD camcorder for under $500 is a great buy. I am considering getting one real soon to replace my MiniDV, mostly for saving time in getting the video onto DVD. And I am not interested in the DVD Camcorder version.
