Thankyou my friends...
...so glad to hear your replies..... this achievement couldn't be made without any help from this forum
well Hukm..overall, I guess working hard, smartly, and patiently is the key here..I read K&B three times thoroughly, each time I read every chapter, I did some practises(coding) to verify the given material and to clear any doubts. Practically, I think reading K&B by itself isn't enough, you HAVE TO code, as that will open your eyes to some tiny details not covered in the book.
After I feel I have covered and memorized all the topics, then it's time for mocks....I did the mocks that comes from the book and
ExamLab. The first mock from the book I got 93%, but at the second one, I got only 75%, and at final exam I got 84%. Doing the examlab, I got 80%, 75%, 63%, and 59% starting from the first exam to final respectively. Every time I did a mock, I do some evaluation, I list every mistake I made, memorized it, and try hard not to do the same mistake at the following mocks. Note that the mocks I mentioned above are tougher than the real exam (especially the final exam of ExamLab), so don't be discouraged when you didn't get a good score at those mocks. after finishing a total of 7 mocks, then I did the very same mocks for another round without remembering any I question I've ever done before, and I observe that my scores are stable at 88-95%. this facts
boost up my confidence and then I know that time has come for the real exam. In short, my preparation is an iteration of 3 phase: LEARN --> PRACTICE --> EVALUATE
this kind of preparation methodology took me almost 5 months before I called Sun, that's why I said that patience is one of the key to succeed.
Ok Hukm and all SCJP hunters..I wish you all a good luck for the exam, I believe you will manage it well...
don't forget to take some rests and good sleeps while preparing...
Good luck,
Khomeini
