Hi mayuresh,

I think you will get a Certification Kit (like with the SCJP), but it will take some weeks because I believe they are all sent from the USA. You can check progress in the "Event History" in Sun's Certification Database, you will see something like "Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 - Kit: Mailed " (but then of course for SCJD.

But first of all your result will have to appear in this database (and it takes some time before the result shows up in that database).

Kind regards,
Roel

Exactly. Indeed, you will receive a certificate, but it will take around 2-3 weeks.

Regarding the certification kit, Sun doesn't provide the pin again maybe because the pin can scratch the certificate paper. I wish I got SCJD before Sun applied this policy.

The thing that was happened after I passed the exam was the world seemed to change from black to white.

Howdy, my good buddy Jeffry! Long time no talk! I hope you're doing well.
You know, I share the same feeling! I feel I'm a better developer after that!

I was also bumped by this policy Because a pin is the ideal way (hanging it on your backpack) of showing off you are certified. The paper you got is just collecting some dust in my room.

Kind regards,

I'm fine

Currently, I am still a Java instructor. I'll resign in August and want to continue my study to achieve the Master degree in Information Technology. How about you ? Did you already became a programmer or software developer ?

Well, it's been some years since that happened!
I'm about to start my master program... the good thing is that I already have one paper published in a workshop of an international conference... by the end of the year, I may have 4 papers published!
