Safari is a fine browser. I use both, but do the majority of my surfing in Safari.

With its plethora of useful plugins, Firefox is a great browser for web development.

yes I agree with Bear,

Safari is fast but not many usefull plugins like firefox. Firefox has large no of third party plugins/addons which is sometimes very usefull specially.

For example JavaRanch also provide search plugin for Firefox but not for Safari (atleast till now)..
