I am a java developer with 6 -7 yrs of experience. I have been interested in Android.. so read many articles / tutorials etc..

I wanted to build something useful in Android.. Which will do some value addition for me.. plus That will give me some experience with android development.. Bored of working with Demo apps..

Can any one suggest how / where can I get started..

I cannot think of any application that I can just start writing.. Any input appreciated..

Thanks!

You can start by reviewing the applications that exist in Android Market. That way you will get an idea of the diversity in applications and more importantly "what sells".

You can also read the creative corner forum at anddev.org to get/share ideas.
